Description
Our day begins by sliding through Valrenna, Lofoten’s only man-made canal, (a historic feat at allowed fishermen safe passage from East Lofoten to the markets of West Lofoten.) through the canal we make our way out of Pundslett Bay and across Holand Sound to the ‘thousand islands of Svellingen’. This island mecca reveals innumerable beaches, abundant wildlife (sea eagles, cormorants, porpoises, seals……) and crystal-clear waters. We make our way to Risvær, once a bustling fishing community, now only hosts a handful of summer dwellers.
We find the perfect island well suited for an el fresco picnic lunch. As we climb out of our kayaks and welcome the rocky sand under our feet as we stretch of our legs. After a relaxing lunch we launch from our island and make our way through this maze of islands to Risvær, once a bustling fishing community, now only hosts a handful of summer dwellers.
We try our luck a fishing as we make our way back to Valrenna canal, where our transport awaits.

Kayak More Tomorrow is a fully accredited sea kayak tour company; we know that getting going is what it is all about. Therefore, all our tours begin with our driver picking you up at your accommodation for the drive out to our staging/launching site. Here, your guide is waiting for you and without further ado, you will gear up and get going. You may leave any extra bags, clothing, etc. that you don’t want to take with you on the trip with us at the launching site. Also, if you have forgotten anything like sunscreen, water, etc. we will be able to help you out here as well.
Day Trip Lunches: Monkfish Café - Featuring a menu made famous by Kayak More Tomorrow’s Outdoor Chefs who have created delicious Al Fresco meals for thousands of outdoor adventurers. Specializing in outstanding dishes made from ecological, natural raw ingredients that are formed into rich, high energy meals; of course, our famous fresh baked salubrious snacks coupled with natural juice blends & healthy Smoothies. Here you will experience wholesome goodness from nature’s bounty that will boost your adventuring to new heights, and you may even pair our hearty outdoor cuisine with refreshing wines & beers. Our outdoor chefs are adept in crating salubrious fare for all tastes and dietary requirements including Vegan options. On the day of your day adventure, your guide will stop by our Monkfish Café and pick up a specially prepared picnic lunch for your group to boost and refuel you on your adventure with us. Monkfish Café menus are based on traditional Norwegian cuisine that is heavily influenced by Norway’s vast shoreline, well-established dairy farms, and a short summer season; thus, you will find the Norwegian table laden with fish, rich cheeses, root vegetables and berries.
